Hot off the butcher’s block

PART-TIME SHOP ASSISTANT WANTED The Local Farmer - Dairy Flat Things are getting a little busier around the shop, and with Christmas not too far away, we’re looking for another pair of hands to join our team! We’re after someone looking for a few extra hours a week, with hours increasing as we head towards Christmas. This is a hands-on role in our busy butchery and farm shop, helping with everything from packing meat and keeping the shop tidy to serving customers and preparing Christmas orders. We’re looking for someone who: * Has customer service experience, enjoys talking to people. * Has a genuine interest in cooking and good food. * Is confident recommending cuts of meat, sharing cooking ideas and helping customers choose the right products. * Is comfortable handling and packing meat, cleaning and operating the till. * Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in their work. * Is reliable, honest, organised and able to use their initiative. * Follows instructions well and enjoys being part of a team. We’re particularly keen to hear from someone local to Dairy Flat or the surrounding areas. Hours will vary depending on the needs of the shop, with flexibility and the opportunity for more work as we get closer to Christmas. Living nearby would be a real advantage when extra help is needed at short notice. We’re after someone with a great attitude who is happy to roll up their sleeves, muck in and help wherever needed. For those of you who have been waiting for our lamb racks, good news! Ryan has been busy processing some of our lambs today, and we’ve got more of these beauties back in the fridge. Lamb racks are such a beautiful cut of meat, and when you’re starting with quality lamb that’s been farmed right here on our doorstep, you know you’re in for something special. Perfect for a special dinner, roasted with garlic, rosemary and a little olive oil, then cooked to your liking. Simple is best when the meat speaks for itself! They never last long, so if you’ve been waiting for these, send us a message and we’ll put some aside for you.
Now these are something special! Beautiful, big, meaty lamb leg steaks, and they are going to be seriously good. Our lamb is locally farmed, killed right here on farm, hung in our chiller and then processed on site by our own team. From our farm to your fork, no detours. These are perfect for the BBQ, pan-fried or grilled. Get them beautifully browned on the outside while keeping them juicy and tender inside. A little garlic, rosemary, olive oil and seasoning is all you need to let that beautiful lamb flavour shine. We’re not about mass production. We work with what we farm. Tonight we had the beef sausages & they were the best I have ever had . The other night was beef mince and again, I just can’t fault the quality of the meat . The Local Farmer will now be my local ! Make the effort - pop into Dairy Flat - you won’t be disappointed.
